The Skiing

With over 220km of pisted runs ranging from 3,600 metres of altitude to 1,300 metres, Europe’s largest skiable glacier offering guaranteed snow, and an enviable sunshine record, Les Deux alpes is one of the leading ski resorts in Europe. There are 51 ski lifts including the famous funicular under the glacier, and 211 snow cannons. As well as 11 black runs, 16 red runs, 43 blue runs and 24 green runs, there is a huge amount of off piste skiable area.

For beginners, as well the snow cannoned nursery runs at the foot of the ski area, the gentle green and blue runs on the glacier allow novice skiers to experience the true delight of mountain top skiing.

Intermediate skiers have access to just about every part of the mountain, with miles of perfectly pisted motorway blue and red runs. Les Deux Alpes also lets intermediates get their first taste of off piste skiing, as there are many areas next to the pistes that are skiable, but connect back onto the piste when the going gets too tough.

For advanced skiers Les Deux Alpes opens into an amazing ski area with 11 black runs, extensive off piste areas including, a link to the world famous un-groomed La Grave area.

The amazing snow park caters for all tastes with jumps, boardercross, kickers, rails and halfpipe, as well as especially formed gulleys, waterfalls and canyons. It has runs suited to those just starting their ski/board park adventure, up to expert level. A 6 day pass gives you the chance to ski a number of neighbouring resorts, as well as entrance into the ice rink and heated outdoor swimming pool.
